You can manage the activity of a garage shop with online appointment scheduling. The daily view allows you to see the next appointments and move them by drag & drop to easily change the staff member associated with a service.
The weekly view allows you to display this same information, and allows you to view your upcoming appointments.
Resources: repair stations
The resources represent the places available in the workshop. This will prevent the scheduling of appointments once this limit is reached.
The services are the various repairs and maintenance that you offer in your garage (oil change, brake services…). You can organize them by group according to the type of vehicle for example.
The staff members are the mechanics of your garage. You can assign them services according to their skills. You can also manage their schedules and their vacations, which will limit appointment bookings
Only the following information is necessary for making an appointment:
- First name
- Last name
- Mobile or landline number
- Email address, optionally so as not to block your customers who do not have one.
In addition, you can ask the customer to complete the information to facilitate the constitution of the file:
- License plate
- Make, year, color, model
- In the event of repair on the bodywork or window: a photo can be uploaded to illustrate the damage
Scheduling an appointment without an email address or phone number
It is likely that some customers will continue to call or come to your shop to make an appointment, for example if they do not have an internet connection and no smartphone . If necessary, you can enter a new appointment from your console, without indicating a phone number or email address, by using the free mode.
Notification: email & SMS
The SMS reminder is very effective for this type of appointment, in addition to the one sent by email, 1 day in advance for example.
Besides SMS notifications, not all of your customers will necessarily provide their email address, but it is useful to review the emails you send to those who do.
You could, for example, use the “Appointment Completed” email to let your customer know that you have completed the repairs and that their vehicle is available.
Do not lose the opportunity to ask your customers how their meeting went if they indicated an email address:
The button to rate the appointment can be replaced with the review link on your Google My Business page and thus gain visibility to your show on Google and Google Maps.
For customers who have given their consent for promotional communications, you can send them an email allowing them to make an appointment, for example:
- Installation of snow tires
- SMOG check
Google My Business integration
Create a Google My Business profile for your salon if you don't have one, and add the link of your widget to the appointment booking link.
