Connecting your Agendize account to your free or paid Zapier account
Getting started with a free Zapier account
You can start automating your tasks with Zapier using a freemium account. This plan is limited in the number of tasks per month (100 maximum) and in the number of “Zaps”, that is, automation scenarios: up to 5 can be active with this plan, each with a single workflow step.
Many app connections are available with the free plan (including Agendize), but some, such as Salesforce, may require a paid plan. The list of available apps, more than 4,000 in 2022, can be found here.
You can then subscribe to a paid plan for broader access to services.
Enabling automation from Agendize or directly from your Zapier account
To start automating, you can first access the suggested Zaps from the Agendize back office by going to Settings / External services / Mailing lists and CRM.
Five Zaps are suggested. To create your own automation scenario, you can click “Create from scratch” or go directly to your Zapier account.
Creating a Zap: new Agendize appointment & automatic entry in a Google Sheets worksheet
Selecting the source app: here, Agendize
In this first example, the trigger event comes from Agendize, so you first need to select the app in Zapier:

Then select the event (Trigger) for which you want an action to be performed automatically in a third-party app. Here we choose “New Appointment” to create an action for each new scheduled appointment.
Other options are available: the trigger could have been “New Form Response” if we had wanted each newly completed Agendize form to trigger the action.

Zapier then asks you to choose your Agendize account. You can choose an existing account if Zaps have already been created by colleagues, or otherwise click “+ Connect a new account”.
You can then enter your account's Agendize API key or SSO token, followed by a required subdomain, usually https://france.agendize.com, https://app.agendize.com, or https://us.agendize.com for clients hosted in the United States.
At this point, you can review and accept the terms and conditions for connecting data through Zapier.
Next, choose the Company ID, that is, the location of your Agendize account that your automation scenario will apply to. A list is displayed:

Once the location is selected, Zapier runs a test to check access to the information.
Selecting the destination app: here, Google Sheets
Your “Trigger” (source event) is now set up, so you can select the action, the app involved and the task to perform.
Here we select Google Sheets. As with Agendize, Zapier prompts you to enter your account and connect it if needed. You then set up an “Event” (the action event): here, “Create Spreadsheet Row”.
You can then choose “My Google Drive” or another drive to locate your documents, then the document on which the action will be performed (Spreadsheet) and the sheet (Worksheet) to which the information will be added for each new appointment.

Filling in the field mapping to populate Google Sheets
Finally, in the “Rows” section, tell Zapier where in the Google Sheet you want to enter the information from the Agendize appointment booking.
You can click the fields and search for the relevant items for your sheet.
Once you have made your selection, Zapier offers another test. When it is complete, you can publish your Zap and check that it is enabled in your Zapier console. Each scheduled appointment will then automatically fill in the information in your sheet:

With a professional Zapier account: adding filters and conditions
If you have a paid Zapier account, you can create more Zaps and workflow steps, including conditional filters so that automations run only for certain categories of clients, for example by role or for specific services.
