Security · MFA
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds a second layer of security to your Agendize account. In addition to your password, you confirm each sign-in with a one-time verification code sent to your email address. This guide explains how to enable MFA on your own user account.
How MFA works in Agendize
One email, one code, five minutes.
Agendize uses email-based verification codes. When MFA is active, after entering your password you receive an email containing a one-time code. Enter this code to finish signing in.
- The code is sent to the email address of your user account.
- Each code expires after 5 minutes. If it expires, you can request a new one from the sign-in screen.
Enabling MFA step by step
- Click your profile icon (top right) and open Preferences.
- In the Multi-factor authentication section, turn on the toggle Enable multi-factor authentication.
- A window opens asking for the verification code that has just been sent to your email address. Check your inbox, enter the code in the Code field, then click Save.
- Back on the Preferences page, click Save at the bottom of the page. A confirmation message indicates that your changes have been saved.
The 7-day grace period
MFA does not become mandatory immediately.
After activation, a 7-day grace period starts: during this time you can still sign in as usual, giving you time to make sure everything is set up correctly.
- A banner at the top of the screen reminds you of the date when multi-factor authentication will be automatically enforced.
- You can close this banner with the ✕ at the end of the line.
- Once the grace period is over, the verification code is required at every sign-in.
